With elections on the horizon here in Belgium 🇧🇪 and the EU 🇪🇺, I got curious about the percentage of women holding seats in national parliaments in EU countries.
Using data directly from Eurostat, Wobby revealed that women’s representation has grown from 34.2% in 2003 to 42.9% in 2023, positioning Belgium ahead of the EU average, which stands at 33.2% for the same year.
